Michael received his Undergraduate Degree in Biology from Vanderbilt University and his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. He has worked with a wide variety of populations ranging from neurological disorders to orthopaedic injuries. His passion for golf has led him to develop programs that treat golf related injuries to golf specific conditioning programs for both amateur and professional golfers. Michael has completed continuing education courses in geriatric orthopaedics, foot biomechanics, manual therapy and myofascial release techniques to enhance his knowledge of the physical therapy profession. Shannon Hauser, MPT
Shannon received her Undergraduate Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Florida and her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. While at the University of Florida, she specialized in Athletic Training which required over 1500 hours of evaluating and treating sports related injuries. She worked in the University of Florida training room and with local high schools. She completed her athletic training internship with the Orlando Predators. Shannon has enjoyed working with all ages including pediatrics. She spent two years developing a therapeutic horseback riding program for children with disabilities on the Navajo Reservation in Shiprock, NM. She has completed continuing education in positioning treatments for BPPV, manual therapy, and geriatric therapeutic exercise. Anja Molendijk, DPT
Anja received her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy in the Netherlands and her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Regis University in Denver. Anja has worked with a variety of orthopedic patients. She has attended numerous continuing education courses with an emphasis on manual therapy and therapeutic exercises. She is certified in McKenzie Treatment and Kinesio taping. In her free time she likes outdoor activities and traveling.
Jennifer Cancio, Ph.D., PMA Certified Pilates Trainer
Jennifer has been teaching Pilates for over 10 years as a means of helping others acquire personal fitness, improve overall body conditioning and prevent injury. In 2002 she completed her first of a series of Pilates certifications including a 500-hour training course under Master Trainer Marie-Jose Blom through Long Beach Dance Conditioning. She recently relocated to Vero Beach from Tokyo, Japan, where she taught the Pilates method at her private studio to a variety of clients including university swimmers and professional dancers.
Jennifer specializes in customizing and designing individual exercise programs for clients recovering from injury or surgery as well as for the well-seasoned athlete who wishes to enhance sports performance. Jennifer prides herself on her meticulous eye, attention to detail and creating exercise programs for people at all fitness levels. She is certified under the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) and continues to enhance her professional expertise by regularly attending training workshops throughout the year.
Pamela DeChelis, PTA
Pamela entered the world of physical therapy through the experiences of a fourteen year career in physical fitness. As a Certified Personal Trainer and group exercise instructor her certifications include Spin, Tabata, TRX Sports Medicine Suspension Training for Rehabilitation, Balance/Stability /Fall Prevention, GRAVITY Training Systems, and Silver Sneakers Senior Programs. Pamela attended Indian River State College, the University of Florida and received her Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from South University. Born and raised in Indian River County, Pamela has a strong history of community involvement, personal friendships, and professional collaborations. She also works as a Certified Personal Trainer in private and public fitness centers locally and enjoys teaching Spin and Tabata classes. She is an avid runner and long distance cyclist and enjoys competing in Duathlon events.
Kayla Jones, PTA
Kayla received her Associate of Arts and her Associate of Science in Physical Therapy Assistant from Indian River State College. She completed 1200 combined clinical hours in outpatient, acute, and pediatric settings. She is currently working toward her Bachelor's degree in Health Care Management at Indian River State College. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys paddle boarding, fishing, and spending time with her yellow Labrador!
Melanie Moore, Receptionist / Office Manager
Melanie is a native of Vero Beach. She is a graduate of Vero Beach High School and attended Indian River Community College. She enjoys golfing, kayaking and singing in the church choir.
Linda Wells, LMT
Linda became a Licensed Massage Therapist in December 2000 after attending massage school at Space Coast Health Institute in Melbourne, FL. Originally from upstate N.Y., she also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a concentration in Gerontology from S.U.N.Y. Cortland. She has over 22 years experience working with the senior population in nursing homes, hospitals and assisted living communities in positions such as Social Work, Case Management, Discharge Planning and Marketing. In her spare time she enjoys golf, running and her pets.
