Our Story
Hi, we’re Shannon and Michael Hauser!
We met in Physical Therapy School at Nova Southeastern University in 1995. After graduating (and getting engaged), we began our careers on the Navajo Reservation, working with disabled children, in Shiprock, New Mexico. After 2 years, we were ready to move closer to home and start a family.
We founded Back In Form Physical Therapy in 1999. Shannon was pregnant with our son Bryce, and we rented a room in the former Jungle Club, now Vero Fitness. We built up our client base to the point where we were ready to open a stand-alone facility of our own, and we moved to a space near the hospital for 9 years. Our patients would always say to us, “It's such a pain to drive over the bridge 3 times/week for PT......I wish there was something closer.” In 2011, we finally listened and moved our clinic to the Barrier Island with a focus on wellness and healing.
Since then, we have been welcoming our clients to our friendly, easy-to-access clinic. Our clinic is one block from the beach, overlooking Bethel Creek and is easily accessible on A1A. We look forward to working with you!
